Haus des Meeres

The Haus des Meeres, originally a Flakturm (anti-aircraft tower) from World War II, has transformed over nearly seven decades into a scientifically managed zoo housing over 10,000 animals. Located in the heart of Vienna, this unique attraction spans 11 floors and offers a diverse array of species. Visitors can marvel at sharks, rays, turtles (both aquatic and terrestrial), various lizard species, snakes, freshwater and saltwater fish, birds, fruit bats, different types of monkeys, insects, and more.
